Receipt Printers

Receipt Printers are used for printing small cash register receipts usually 40 columns wide. They are also

used for printing credit card slips. Paper is thermal or ink in rolls. Most receipt printers have a port for

opening cash drawers. When purchasing Receipt Printers and cash drawers ensure they are compatible

with each other.

Compatibility

Any USB, COM or parallel ports supported by the Windows Generic

Text printer driver. Slip printers are used in RAW mode which uses

the printer in text mode. Graphics are not supported except for

downloadable logos on some slip printers. Some slip printers have

barcode support.

USB configuration can be a bit tricky (you need to install the driver

BEFORE you plug the device in).
